NOTES: PET CARE is recommended for cats and small dogs 15 lbs under. HOW TO TRAIN YOUR PET BEFORE USING PET CARE. 1 Turn to PET CARE and give the pet his or her favorite treat at the same time. Put the filer close to the pet as you give the treat. 2 Repeat this several times until the pet is comfortable and anticipates the treat. 3 Now, get a treat out as usual except this time we will touch the tip of ONE nail to the PET CARE filer. Treat the pet and or play after. Always consider your pet with a positive experience after an encounter. NOTE: If your pet is completely comfortable at this point, you may attempt a full treatment. 4 Next, try doing one whole paw. Alternate nails, only filing for a few seconds on each nail. 5 Your pet should be comfortable at this point. If not, there is a position to hold the pet that works well.
